Oh! Lord! What a start.
The sad and disastrous pictures coming from Haiti, and spreading all across the world, full of blood, fear, death and tears. Does it feel anything within? Besides the pleasure of Macabre pictures via google, yahoo, Time and many other individually choiced streaming lines.
I think…no. It doesn’t. It stopped feeling long ago.
We feel what we felt watching ‘Death Race’ or ‘The Royal Rumbles’ of WWE. We feel what we felt while laughing at the paralised father and unmarried not-so-kareena-like-sexy sister of Raju Rastogi, a character from the successful and Chetan-Vidhu contoversy fame ’3 Idiots’ you all might know.
We are not Haitians?
It has not happened to us, so why should we feel for it, in the middle of Amitabh Bachcan’s ‘Teen Patti’, Parkash Jha’s ‘Rajneeti’ opening their initial promos and ken Ghosh directed, Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘Dance pe Chance’ having released today, might say many within.
Death toll, which, with the advent of globalised-capitalised-flattened world has fastly become our roller-coaster-ride, our adreneline rush, and our enjoyble sad surprise in the morning, having a cup of tea or coffee so to say, has risen to sky.
1 lakh or 0.10 million is the least expected.
5 lakh say many.
It occoured in the closing years many time, but january this time around.
I think myself that this is the right time to learn what does ‘Empathising’ stand for?
In Remembrance of the saddened Haitians and my friend laxman, whose father passed away 2 days back, leaving him the caretaker of the house, leaving him to leave his civil services preparations, to leave Delhi’s Mukherji Nagar, to leave his IPS dream forever and be the father of the house now.

I think we are addicted to see this kind of moving pictures, reading violence while we take a news paper, watching blood while switch on television and witnessing gruesome rage while drive on the road…. Yes we are used to see violence and blood…. we don’t feel moved by seeing blood… we have a frozen heart, no emotions n no feelings……
may God give peace to those who lost their lives in this disaster and to Layman’s father’s soul.
